Our host town - Québec City

Quebec is a province in East-central Canada. It is the only Canadian province with a predominantly French-speaking population and the only one whose sole official language is French at the provincial level.

A remarkable cultural and geographic crossroads - the city of Québec could be called a bridge of sorts between Europe and the Americas - Québec has a unique and special role to play internationally.

Known worldwide for its rich history and heritage, it is also a modern and dynamic city. Its economic and cultural strength has fostered ties with major cities around the world, through the promotion of partnerships. Its ties abroad help attract many international events.

Its status as a world heritage city also contributes to its international renown.
